The world's in the midst of finding out, too. Alexis on Fire is bringing its brand of hard rock (Metal with a melody? Screaming in harmony?) to the masses this year. Following a late winter jaunt through Europe, the Canadian quintet is set to spring into the United States in March. Alexis on Fire's first tour leg hits sacred rock havens in Boston (The Roxy), New York City (Irving Plaza), and Philadelphia (Theater of the Living Arts) before stopping for a pseudo homecoming at Buffalo's Town Ballroom. One can only assume that by April, after tearing up the West Coast and heading back east to DC, Norfolk and south to Florida, Alexis on Fire's raw vocals mixed with pounding drums and oddly soothing guitars will have won over the most ardent metalheads and leave ticket brokers scanning the groups remaining tour dates.

Flipping through AOF's discography shows a band that evolved from the garages and bars of its hometown to a world-wise group of musicians that took off the rose-colored glasses, but never lost their sense of humor.
