BRAND NEW, touring for the first time in three years.
The November release of their third album, "The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me,"
has been met with fantastic reviews. Billboard raves, "There's no denying how
excellent this record is…so naturally powerful…(fans) have no excuse not to love
everything about (it)" Rock Sound hailed it as one of the Top 25 Albums of 2006, and
Spin boasts that BRAND NEW has, once again, reinvented itself and they "seem
rightfully inspired by a bigger and bolder future."
Formed on Long Island, NY, BRAND NEW appeared on the punk-pop scene with a self-
released, four-song demo in 2000. Led by vocalist/guitarist Jesse Lacey, the band
consists of drummer Brian Lanem bassist Garrett Tierney and guitarist Vin Accardi. In
2001, BRAND NEW issued their first album, Your Favorite Weapon, which produced the
semi-hit "Jude Law and a Semester Abroad." In 2003, "Deja Entendu" became an
underground smash, lauded by Spin as "bravely ambitious" and Billboard as a courageous
and "stylistic leap forward." Music videos for "The Quiet Things That No One Ever
Knows" and "Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades" found constant airplay on MTV. As the
band's underground following grew in strides, they signed a deal with Dreamworks,
later led to Interscope following the former label's buyout.
Currently touring Europe with "Me Without You," BRAND NEW will return to the States in
March for the spring leg of their worldwide tour. While already sold-out in several
venues, tickets are still available from Ticketsmyway.com in the following North
American cities:
