Chris Difford, lyricist of the 80s pop band Squeeze, is kicking off his US tour on Feb. 25, 2007. On the 14-date tour, his first in a decade, Difford will play both acoustic Squeeze hits and some of his fresh solo material. What makes this tour even more exciting for fans is the mouthwatering prospect of a Squeeze reunion.
Difford has been writing lyrics for over two decades now, most notably of course with Squeeze. After a number of Top 20 hits, 29 American tours and 30 UK tours, Gifford decided to get off the roller coaster and embarked on a solo career. His debut solo album "I Didn't Get Where I am..." was released in 2002.
Gifford's music is a perfect blend of pop and rock and his concerts are truly amazing experiences. Each concert is a sell-out and fans of Squeeze are expected to throng venues to hear Difford belt out some of the more popular tunes like "Tempted", "Up the Junction", and "Cool for Cats".
