Colin James is a renowned Canadian guitarist/singer/songwriter who has been nominated for fourteen Juno Awards throughout the course of his 20 year recording career, winning six (1989- Most Promising Male Vocalist, 1991- Single of the Year/Male Vocalist of the Year, 1996- Male Vocalist of the Year, 1998- Best Blues Album, 1999- Best Producer). He has, currently, garnered yet another nomination for Best Blues Album (Little Big Band 3). Results will be announced Sunday, April 21st, 2007 in a ceremony being broadcast on Canadian CTV. "Little Big Band 3" (released October 3, 2006) is his tenth studio effort.

A Canadian tour has been announced for 2007, with dates to be determined. Being no strangers to the concert hall, Mr. James is expected to delivery incendiary performances at every stop. His now legendary chops and taut backing group ( a lethal combination, indeed) are guaranteed to delight fans both young and old, performing Blues, Soul, and R&B classics with such razor sharp fluidity as to appear nearly seamless.

James has previously toured with such renowned international icons as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Keith Richards, Steve Winwood, and Little Feat. It was Vaughn, in fact, who suggested, upon discovering Colin (then, merely 21 years of age), change his surname from Munn to James, as the former sounded 'a little too close to Mud.' In show-biz, as in many other professions, a name can make or break any career upon first impression. Lucky for James, Vaughn knew this. The rest, as they say, is history, and it continues to be made with every album and every album.
